Bangkok Bank is Thailand’s largest bank and one of the largest ASEAN regional banks by assets. The Bank was the first Thai bank to establish an international network—opening its first overseas branch in Hong Kong in 1954. It has a long-standing presence across Southeast Asia, as well as in major global financial centers. Its international network presence across 14 economies and comprises the largest overseas network of any Thai bank.

Its major international subsidiaries are Bangkok Bank Berhad, with five branches across Malaysia; Bangkok Bank (China), with branches in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Chongqing; and Permata Bank, one of the top 10 banks in Indonesia. In Thailand the bank is a leader in business lending, with an extensive deposit base across Thailand and a comprehensive range of products and services on offer for all customer groups.
