
Ms Fam Wee Wei
August 8, 2025 12:22 pmWee Wei is the Director of International Trade Division (Green Economy & Sustainability) and Carbon Mitigation Division at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), where she drives Singapore’s international strategy on Green Economy Agreements (GEA) and bilateral cooperation on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. She is also responsible for strategies and policies related to the sourcing and utilisation of Article 6 carbon credits to meet Singapore’s climate goals.
Wee Wei spent more than 15 years working in the Ministry of Trade and Industry in various roles including negotiation of free trade agreements, bilateral economic cooperation with Northeast Asia economies and industry development of the tourism sector. She was also Centre Director for Enterprise Singapore’s Beijing Office to facilitate the internationalisation of Singapore companies in China.
In addition to her current duties, Wee Wei currently serves as the Chairperson of the COP30 Singapore Pavilion Organising Committee, overseeing the strategic planning and execution of the Singapore Pavilion to showcase Singapore’s sustainability efforts and foster international partnerships with global climate stakeholders.
