Dr Charika Channuntapipat

Charika Channuntapipat, PhD is currently a Research Fellow at Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI). Her research focuses on sustainability governance, corporate accountability, the role of accounting in sustainable development and sustainable finance. She is particularly engaged in projects related to the development of Thailand’s green taxonomy (Phrase 2), the localisation of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework, and enhancing the readiness of corporate boards for future sustainability challenges. Her current work also includes ESG reporting and assurance, corporate materiality assessment, and the development of skills for climate action.

Before joining TDRI, Dr. Channuntapipat was involved in the sustainability accounting research group at the University of Birmingham, where she contributed to curriculum design integrating sustainability into accounting education. She also has a background in consultancy and banking industries.
